ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Built to be usable by everyone

Extropus is committed to making this site accessible to the widest possible range of visitors, including people using assistive technology such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, or screen magnification.

Last reviewed: September 2026

1. Standard We Follow

This site is designed to meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA, as adopted by the Israeli Standards Institution in SI 5568 Part 1 (2023) — the Israeli standard for web content accessibility. Where the Israeli standard raises or narrows a specific WCAG success criterion, that national variation is the one we target.

2. What We've Implemented

  • Semantic structure. A single main heading per page, a logical heading hierarchy, and landmark regions (header, main, footer) that assistive technology can navigate directly.
  • Keyboard access. Every interactive element — navigation, the project carousel, and the photo lightbox — can be operated without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator and a "skip to content" link on every page.
  • Text alternatives. Meaningful images carry descriptive alt text; purely decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Color contrast. Text colors are checked against WCAG's minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
  • Reduced motion. Animated elements are disabled automatically for visitors who set a reduced-motion preference in their operating system.
  • Bilingual support. The full site is available in Hebrew with proper right-to-left layout, not just a translated copy pasted into a left-to-right template.
  • Responsive design. The layout adapts to phones, tablets, and desktops, and supports browser text zoom.

3. Known Limitations

This site was built and reviewed by its developer using automated testing tools (including axe-core) and manual keyboard and screen-reader checks, but has not undergone a full audit by a certified accessibility professional. If you encounter a barrier, please let us know — see below.

4. Reporting an Issue

If any part of this site is difficult to use, please contact the accessibility coordinator:

Aviv Yonathan Eliyahu — contact@extropus.com

We aim to respond within a reasonable time and to fix genuine barriers as quickly as we can.
